“ Very busy but worth it! Staff were nice and friendly. More of an order yourself type of guy restaurant. A staff will seat you and then you start a tab and order via QR code. We ordered a suppli (small fired tomato mozzarella ball - pictured) and a margarita pizza, lasagna, and gnocchi. All were very excellent. The suppli ball ($4) was a little bit saltier than expected and I don't think I would order it again. Our entrees however were delicious and had lots of amazing flavors. Cozy ambiance with limited seating. ”
“ Our return visit to ODP went very well. Sitting at the chef's table was fun and the young man making salads/apps was very friendly in sharing about the food he prepared. The somm brought us 4 wines to sample, which made choosing a red wine bottle to enjoy with our dinner so much easier. Pizza and citrus salad were both delicious! ”
“ Fried olives appetizer, mushroom pizza and a glass of Oregon pinot noir...made for a great supper. Great food, good ambience and reasonable prices. Per someone's suggestion, asked to be seated at the chefs table to watch the cooks dontheir magic. Well worth the visit. Bravo! ”
“ Another bomb pizza, only $20 and definitely big / filling enough to share. I look forward to eating my way through the menu here! Next time going to try a white pizza I think. Service is casual, pretty much only talk for a waitlist to sit down. You sit, order with the qr code menu. ”
“ Overnight stay in Eugene for a work trip and found this place on Yelp. Arrived around 8:30 p.m. to a packed house. Wait was about 40 minutes. Food and bev came out pretty quickly after ordering. I could have eaten about six Suppli's! Pizza was outstanding! Dough was thin, light and chewy. Not pictured is the tagliatelle. Not sure if they make the pasta inhouse, but it was fresh and tasted handmade. ”
“ Very lively and busy. They have an efficient text system that tracks one's wait time for a table. Everything we ate was excellent! We just came back from Italy, and the pizza at Osteria DOP was on par and excellent. We had a delicious salad, burrata cheese app, and my husband enjoyed the tagliatelle with melt in our mouth pork pieces. We forgot the name. The staff was excellent. They all worked so hard and had great teamwork. They not only did their primary job, but we saw them help in other areas. It was super busy last night -Friday. But it was well worth the wait! ”
“ First time here... impressions: Fava con cicoria - funny smell but interesting taste. Smashed Fava beans with some sort of greens, maybe turnip? And olive oil and a bit of spice. Bland but salty? Tastes good with the crispy toast and really grows on you! Glad we tried it. Margarita pizza - a bit too much "wet" tomato sauce so cheese and mushrooms rolled off. Otherwise good. Calabrian pizza with added anchovies and olives - per my husband, the anchovies made this really tasty! Parking on street and since we arrived at 9pm on a Thursday, there was no waiting. Prices were fair and you order off the app so bring your phone. There wasn't much to see at the chef's table as they were pretty much cleaning up for the night. A definite four stars! ”
“ This restaurant is so good that I had to go two days in a row because I couldn't get their food out of my head. The restaurant doesn't feel like anywhere else in town. One of my favorite spots to sit is at the food preparation counter. Watching the chefs work adds another layer of appreciation to the meal, making the experience even more immersive. The speed at which the food comes out is remarkable. On my second visit, I was able to enjoy a full three-course meal with a cocktail and still be in and out in under 45 minutes. The quick service doesn't compromise the quality one bit--everything I've ordered has been fantastic. The quality of the ingredients really shines through in every dish. There's a noticeable attention to detail that adds depth and complexity to the flavors, something we don't see often enough. This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorites, and I can't recommend it highly enough! ”
“ Well, Eugene...it's happened. An actual Italian restaurant has arrived. If you've been to Italy, this place will feel familiar. The owner is Italian with a love for Italian food. There's a line out the door before it opens, for good reason. The oven is a 4th generation pizza oven from Napoli, the seating is tavern style (Osteria=Tavern in Italia), and it doesn't take reservations (first come, first served). We ordered so much food and drinks due to our excitement of finding a place that reminds us of many Italy regions: northern Italia risotto, Roma cacio e pepe, Napoli pizza...to start. I recommend sitting at the chefs table if possible. It was a fun experience, unlike anything I've seen in the area. The Bosco pizza was FANTASTIC, our favorite main meal. The Arancini (fried risotto balls) are splendid, cannolis delightfully balanced (not too sweet, which is true to origin), burrata perfectly textured as one would expect it to be (i would suggest requesting a few more crostinis as there is a good helping of the burrata!), great vino list, and zeppole a perfect dessert if you like to share! The one critique I have is that the bucatini (cacio e pepe) was too salty. Could have been a fluke, though. Overall, I am so excited Osteria is here. This is an outstanding addition to Eugene! ”
